Jones Logistics (JoLo) is thrilled to announce that James Ver Voort has been selected as our JoLo BOLO award winner for October 2026!
JoLo BOLO (Be on the Lookout), which originally launched in fall 2022, began as a quarterly employee recognition program. In April 2024, BOLO transformed into a monthly program, giving us the opportunity to spotlight even more outstanding employees. Each month, employees nominate their peers who embody our core values of integrity, passion, unity, sustainability, and humility, with a diverse committee selecting the final honoree. For October, that honoree is James.
James joined the JoLo team nearly four years ago and serves as a Site Manager for one of our accounts in Neenah, Wisconsin. In his role, James oversees day-to-day operations while working closely with drivers, coordinators, warehouse teams, and customers to keep products moving safely and efficiently.
His dedication to the operation and the people who keep it running has earned him multiple BOLO nominations over the years. From stepping in to support staffing needs to helping team members navigate challenges, James consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to his team and the operation. His passion for his work is especially evident in the way he supports drivers, making sure they have the resources and assistance they need whenever they need it.
One of James's coworkers shared the following in his nomination:
"James is extremely knowledgeable about the account he runs, which overflows into his passion for supporting his drivers day or night. James does not worry about how many hours he's put in for the day; his drivers are a priority, and it shows!"
James's commitment to his community is another example of the care he brings to everything he does. Following the devastating EF-3 tornado that struck Neenah, Menasha, and neighboring Appleton, Wisconsin on July 27, James joined employees from other Jones Capital portfolio companies in volunteering to support those affected by the storm. Their collective efforts helped provide 7,200 meals to local residents during a difficult time for the community.
